whoops!

alright! weekend's here!
class was fine. Electrical tech lecture was hard to absorb! omigosh, GG.. thermofluids lab wasnt too bad, though i had to do two experiments for today's session cuz i skipped the last one. after that i hung out with my classmates for lunch before heading off to the band room to kill time. had to wait for kovan and yubing, going dinner after their classes finish.

slacked with tzeyang till 5 plus. then we made our way to dhouby and met up with mingren. the 5 of us ate at Just Acia, food not bad luh. but it was after our meal, when all the fun began. hahaha.

wah, tired sia. didnt get to go for choir prac. =/

laughter, the best medicine

hung out with yubing, kovan, madeline, james, alan, mingren and tzeyang. met up the the library before heading out to cineleisure. got ourselves tix to catch THe Haunting in Connecticut and had dinner at pastamania. the movie was pretty good, thrilling. but i was laughin a lot.

i sat between maddy and james. i noticed maddy sank lower in her seat as the movie progressed. but i was really amused when i realised james was keeping his eyes shut whenever got shocking/ scary moments. HAHA.

after the movie we traded stories on the movie experience and im kinda glad i wasnt next to yubing. ahhaha! alan got wacked the whole time and demonstrated on me, wat he experienced. =.= wtheck, pain sia! i told them bout james and maddy and everyone burst out laughing. it was total hysterics! gotta watch together again, along with more ppl! haah!

hmm.. i realise things are getting a lil too messy. beh...

oh yeah! IBM concert was fantastic! loved every minute! hahaha. was nervous at first but after a confident playing of Ride, things went on pretty smoothly. for Theatre Music i was able to play a part i never really been able to play previously! (the third set of running note at the beginning!)hahah! cool! i felt we played Jungle the best. Sea Of Wisdom wasnt too bad. the rehearsl in the morning was better.

i gotta say though, Sing x3 and Omens Of Love were played pretty well! more feel and stuff compared to the times we worked on it. IBM song was relaxed, hahah.

ooh! Godzilla was juz awesome! the parts were spot on and the crowd really had a good laugh! we, the performers, also had a really good time doing the skit. cant wait to see the video!

Music For Festival was not bad as well, coughed uo here and there coz tired and high from Godzilla. lols. and Dancing Megahitz, Bing played great. haha. clement and i were playing our own style for some melodies. hahah! speaking of clement,

i love concerts, love those who came to support, love the peeps i played along with, loveeee the saxyphone section! cant wait for the next event! time to work hard for the upcoming semestral exams.

now im completely worn out, but all the efforts we put in was without a doubt, worth every minute.

bandy band band....

my afternoons and evenings were occupied by band. final full band prac on wed and sectionals on thurs fri.
i get really worn out after each session, but i simply just enjoy playing the saxophone. times i know i tend to appear like im showing off yeah, sorry bout that. i seek to play stuff the way i want them to sound so i juz keep playing them. bugs me when it sounds off so i keep trying to make it sound perfect and things like that, yea i can appear vain. playing for ppl is always the besst way to enjoy and learn to achieve the styles we like to make it appear. im still trying to leasrn that and joining the jazz band is really a wonderful way to learn. screwing up in the cord progressions does get my moral down a lot but i gotta keep trying.

i think i'll juz stick to lovin every minute i play the sax. haha. band's going on a break after the concert's all done. haha, glad i m in jazz band. wont completely be away from playing for a full month! thats gonna suck big time. but forget bout that, still far too ahead into the future. a step at a time first.

ahhh, i juz cant help myself. im too used to enjoying the sound of a selmer. the feeling of playing a selmer. my fingers flowing to the rhythm of the piece before me on a wonderfully made saxophone.

dont get me wrong, i am loving the yamaha custom Z im currently on. its very versatile and allows diff styles of playing very well. response quick too! but still, ive been playin it for 2 months consistantly alr but then when i went back to stgabs, i tried the selmers again... and yeah, loved it more.. wahhhh sian. im baised towards selmer liao. muz hunt for a good second hanad. cant afford a new one. beh..

ahhh. still thinkin bout it.. ah!

haha. today watched transformers 2 with carrie, junwen and yuzhi. should have been more ppl actually but its fine.
oh yea, we were supposed to watch at cine but there werent any seats remaining and the next available show was at 615. hah! we managed to find out that there was a 3.35 show at filmgrand, the new mall at bugis(i forgot the name, first time went there). all the while yuzhi kept sayin he hates organizing outings.. hahah. its not his fault luh, bad luck only. organize more! practice makes perfect.. hahah!

skipped class yesterday, instead joined sis to watch 3 movies at the library, Lassie, Lilo & Stich2, and Brother Bear 2. haha. afterwards liyi went off with madeline and carrie to buy stuff and i met up with my juniors frim peixin band for a game of bowling. in the end managed three games and then i took a cab to sch(quite near luh, jurong) coz of time constraint. was gonna be late for band. reached sch juz in time but...

i ran into trouble. couldnt enter school at first, but in the end things went fine.. late for prac though. and havent eaten a thing since breakfast. =X
finally yubing understood why initially i wanted to play Sea of Wisdom solo. its the nicest solo of the whole repertoire. haha. Ride is the most challenging. haha gotta work hard to perfect it. but still cant resist playing it whenever i can. now yubing too, keep playin Sea of Wisdom on and on after last night's prac. haha

on the way home was the usual noisy anad fun bunch. hah! though it seemed a lil wilder last night. on th purple line with gris and emm, we found new things to laugh at everytime! and we'll laugh to tears!!

right, movin on, today woke up at 7am for sectional with the tutor at 9. today's session was pretty good, went through some techniques and played, yes, Sea of Wisdom.. haha! afterwards we ran through gozilla with mr chiang(ahgong) LOL. it went pretty smoothly too. im extremely tired after consecutive pracs(wed to sat) but its real fun! monday rehearsal @convention centre!

messed about at home before going for mass, we sang Oh God You Search Me real well. =)
havent been able to hang out much coz of pracs for IBM. hmm...

thats bout it. tmr hangin out with some bandies to catch a movie.

school's been a rollercoaster ride this week. i got back 4 outta five results and boy, was it disappointing. low As and 2 Bs. we're all still in the dark regarding our CProgramming but there's no rush in knowing that particular outcome.

i have got to get rid of this holiday mood. the upcoming semester exam is gonna be so important to push my grades up to the max. gotta go for it!

speakin of working hard, gotta practice hard too. IMB 27 is in 2 weeks time!!!! cant wait for it!
yesterday had woodwind sectionals, absolutely worn out after that. we went through more than half the repertoire. it was also held at 9am but we had to reach there by 830, which meant gettin up at 7 to leave by 730? =X but its good to have prac, we only have 2 practices per week excluding sectionals arranged by SLs. i went home after havin lunch wit Uncle elliot and my couzz yubin and james. haha. the relations i have with them is explained below...

ahhh... overcame the biggest hurdle of the week. C Prog test is over and done with. i hope the results aint too bad. a pass at the very least please?

tmr last paper! go go go!!! thermofluids tested on 1 chap and im lazy like hell to spend hours revising. haha. gonna read it up later before going to bed.

time flies

again, lots of things juz flew by since the last post.

a crisis is on the loom with the h1n1 influenza, schools shutting down one by one. surprisingly SP is not really affected badly.. hope it continues to stay that way. with the number of cases rising and the majority are below the age of 20 its beginning to get outta hand. throughout all the mayhem, the exodianz sufferred badly with thier concert cancelled. i havent been back since coz they dun even know whens their next prac. the same thing goes for peixin(yishun) pri.. last time i went was sir's birthday. been occupied with SP symphonic and jazz band.

im doing fine in SP. band is really fun and we're preparing for our concert I Believe in Music (IBM) on the 26th of july 5pm. interested drop me a message luh. hung out with bandmates most of the holidays. the last two weeks were bandless, kinda boring but we've been going back to sch( for me a 45min ride to and fro) and revising for the last week of holidays for the MSTs. currently im halfway there, 3 papers down, final 2 in my way. the bad thing is, C Prog paper is finally tmr. GG.... thermo's the very last paper. that ones still managable. anyhow, my classmates are great peeps too, though we could be a lil more serious most of the time.. haha. we're pretty united luh and help each other out whenever we can.. very open too. all guys wats there to hide. haha.

with poly life pretty hectic im kinda pushing aside my church choir buddies. been missing pracs and stuff.. uhh,,, gotta be more insightful. plan my schedules properly.. and not let my decisions be swayed by other factors.. we got our own project to finish up. the recruitment for the choir is to be on the 12th and we're gonna prepare a few songs and the youths are the main ones to attract other youths.. we need new blood. haha. pray for things got go well and progress smoothly for everyone.

ahhhh... almost midnight. i really am strugglin to juz focus fully for Cprog.. im almost driven to desperation or juz plain wanna give up on this module. i wont say im not exactly horrible. but when i panic everything goes blank and for this particular module, the chances are extremely high that it may occur. quoting from roger, "screwed like a potato on a salad stick"
